Tempus Fugit
Commissioned and premiered by the Brevard Symphony, Chris Confessore Music Director, Tempus Fugit is a lead-in work for family and educational concerts. It quickly introduces the instruments of the orchestra by describing the mode of transportation they used to travel to the concert.
Two endings are provided: the “segue ending” leads quietly to the next work on the program and the “button ending” can be used if a more solid ending is desired. At only three and a half minutes in duration, this short work covers a lot of territory in a charming way and is designed to be narrated by the conductor.
